L&L President, Brian Evans, recently testified in Washington, DC on behalf of the transportation industry before the US House of Representative Committee on Contracting and Workforce.
Evans’ testimony before Chairman Hanna, Ranking Member Meng and the rest of the committee members could be found key in the industries push to have the FMCSA’s HOS rules re-written. Evans stated, “like the FMCSA, one of our primary missions is to promote safe practices. Unfortunately, the new HOS regulations were a solution in search of a problem. The new rules are overly complicated, will reduce productivity, and have no effect on reducing accidents beyond the previous level.”
